Merissa Davis, IACCP ®

Merissa loves rules. Her team laughs when she tells them jaywalking is a gateway crime. But she believes advisors work hard to build a legacy, and she has a responsibility to help them protect and advance their achievements. 

As director of platform operations for TruClarity, Merissa helps advisors understand the significance of their technology choices in building a good compliance and operations program. She provides guidance picking technology that fits their team needs, and coaches them through setup of the technology platforms and gathering client data through available data feeds. She also navigates teams through setup and implementation of their compliance and operations programs, helps leverage the advisor tools for efficiencies in their compliance and operations processes, and problem solves as needed. In addition, she helps teams organize their books and records, and prepare for regulatory audits. 

Merissa has nearly 25 years’ experience in the financial industry. Before joining TruClarity, Merissa was vice president of trading and administrative services/chief compliance officer at a registered investment advisor firm, which transitioned to independence with the support of TruClarity. She also was senior registered client service associate at UBS Financial Services and operations manager at Kalos Financial. An Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional^® (IACCP^®), she earned her Series 7, Series 9 and 10, Series 24, Series 63 (inactive), Series 3 and Series 65 (lapsed) licenses. She earlier attended Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA.

Merissa lives in Jacksonville Beach, FL, with her husband, Bill. They have two children, Devin and Dylan.
