Breakaway Advisor Starts New California RIA
Jon Henderson, a former Merrill Lynch advisor, is launching Echo45 Advisors, a new RIA in Walnut Creek, Calif., to serve individuals, families and small businesses in California.
Henderson has enlisted the help of TruClarity Management Solutions to manage the transition. TruClarity said in a statement that it guides advisors “through every step of the move from initial financial analysis to the company launch.” It also provides comprehensive ongoing back office services after advisors go independent.
Henderson will lead the four-person team and serve as its chief investment officer. The other team members include Genecar Z. Vivo, director of concierge services and office manager; Kevin Cheeks, director of planning services and chief compliance officer; and Cole Matsuura, planning coordinator. Henderson managed $148 million in assets under management at Merrill, and Cheeks worked at Charles Schwab.
